I hope you know that you deserve to be happy, because you’re not the bad person you think you are. Nevertheless, you never deserved me.

Imagine the balls it takes to tell someone “you never deserved me” and sincerely believe it.  And the class it takes to be able to state it along with your genuine well wishes for that person.  I’m not being sarcastic, this sort of conviction is like a foreign language to me.
